Can I turn AI features off?
There is no switch to turn AI off for a workspace today. Roles and plans already limit who can use each AI feature, and nothing is sent to an AI provider unless someone uses a feature.
The short answer
No. SOPCompass doesn’t have a setting that turns AI features off for a workspace or for a person. We would rather tell you that plainly than point you at a setting that doesn’t exist. If you need one, email support@ironbridgeaiadvisory.com so we can weigh it.
What already limits AI use
- Nothing runs in the background. No SOP, comment or file is sent to an AI provider unless a person uses an AI feature. Search, assignments, sharing and Insights don’t call an AI service.
- Roles. Viewers can use Ask, but can’t use Build with AI, imports, quiz drafting, the capture rewrite or AI sort.
- Plan and role for AI sort. Only owners and admins on the Business plan can run it.
- Voice is optional. The voice interview is the only feature that uses ElevenLabs. Typing avoids it completely.
- Transcription is local. Importing a recording never sends audio to any provider.
Practical ways to limit AI

Common questions
Is any of my content sent to an AI provider if nobody uses the AI features?
No. There is no background AI processing. Content is sent only when a person uses a feature such as Ask, Build with AI, an import, quiz drafting, the capture rewrite or AI sort.
Can I stop viewers from using Ask?
Not today. Ask is available to every member of a workspace, and only draws on SOPs that person can open.
