Plans, pricing and billing FAQ
What each plan costs, who counts as an editor, how a mid-term plan change turns unused time into free days, and what cancelling does.
SOPCompass has two self-serve plans, Team and Business, plus custom Enterprise plans. Every plan includes unlimited viewers, so you only pay for the people who write and change SOPs.
Billing is managed by the workspace owner in People › Settings & billing. That is where you change plans, switch between monthly and yearly, cancel or restart.
Note: A plan change mid-term never charges you twice. The screen shows the credit, the number of free days it buys on the new plan and the date of your first charge before you continue to checkout.
If a switch carries more credit than can be applied automatically (well over a year of free days), the app asks you to email support@ironbridgeaiadvisory.com and the team does it for you.
For the full plan comparison, see the pricing page.
Common questions
How much does SOPCompass cost?
Team is $99 a month and Business is $249 a month, billed monthly. Paid yearly, Team is $990 and Business is $2,490, which works out to 2 months free. Enterprise is custom pricing. Viewers are unlimited and free on every plan.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Team and Business both start with a 14-day free trial. Choose a plan at app.sopcompass.com/start, add your email and a workspace name, and finish checkout on Whop. Your workspace is created when checkout completes and a sign-in email is sent to you. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged.
Is there a free plan?
No. Every paid plan starts with the 14-day trial instead, so you can set up a real workspace before you decide.
What is the difference between Team and Business?
Team covers 1 workspace and up to 10 editors. Business covers up to 5 workspaces and up to 30 editors, and adds library sharing between workspaces, AI sort, Insights and the public API. Quizzes, policy sign-off, the AI assistant, imports, Ask, share links, embeds and exports are on every plan.
Who counts as an editor, and are viewers really free?
Anyone with the owner, admin or editor role counts as an editor, because they can create or change SOPs. Editors are counted across every workspace on the same subscription, by sign-in email, so one person in two workspaces counts once. Viewers read SOPs, tick through steps, comment, take quizzes and complete assignments, and you can have as many as you like at no cost.
What happens if I hit a plan limit?
SOPCompass stops the new addition and tells you which limit you reached, for example when inviting an 11th editor on Team. Nothing that already exists is removed.
Can I change plans in the middle of a billing period?
Yes. The workspace owner can switch between Team and Business, or between monthly and yearly, from People, then Settings & billing. Before you confirm, SOPCompass shows exactly what happens: the part of your current period you have paid for and not used is converted into free days on the new plan, at the new plan's daily price, and your first charge on the new plan is the day those free days run out. Nothing is charged twice.
What if I change plans during my free trial?
Your remaining trial days carry over to the new plan day for day, and the first charge is on the day the trial would have ended.
What happens to my content if I move from Business down to Team?
Nothing is deleted. If you have more workspaces or editors than Team allows, they stay, but you can't add more until you are under the limit. AI sort, Insights, library sharing and the API turn off. API keys are kept but answer with a plan_required error until you move back to Business.
How do I cancel?
The workspace owner cancels from People, then Settings & billing. There is no contract. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for (or the end of the trial), and everything keeps working until then. You can undo it with Keep my subscription any time before that date.
What happens to my SOPs after a subscription ends?
The workspace becomes read-only. Every SOP, assignment and record is kept, people can still sign in and read, and nothing can be added or changed. The owner can restart the subscription from Settings & billing at any time and pick up where they left off.
Who handles payments?
Whop. Card details are entered on Whop's checkout and never pass through or get stored by SOPCompass. If a payment fails, update the payment method on Whop; plan changes are paused until the last payment goes through.
Who can change or cancel the plan?
Only the owner of the workspace the plan was bought for. Admins and editors see the plan but can't change it.
Do you offer discounts or nonprofit pricing?
Yearly billing gives you 2 months free on Team and Business. For nonprofit pricing or Enterprise, email support@ironbridgeaiadvisory.com.
