Signing in to SOPCompass

The three ways to sign in, how invitation links work, and what to do if you forget your password or see "No workspace yet".

SOPCompass has three ways to sign in. All of them lead to the same account, so use whichever is easiest.

Continue with Google

Click Continue with Google and choose your Google account. If a workspace invitation is waiting for that email address, you are added to the workspace straight away.

Note: Signing in with a Google account that has not been invited to any workspace shows “No workspace yet”. Ask an admin of your workspace to invite that exact address.

Password

Enter your email and password and click Sign in. You set your password when you first accept an invitation (or after starting a trial). Passwords must be at least 8 characters.

If you were invited but never set a password:

  1. On the sign-in screen, click Email me a sign-in link.
  2. Enter your email and click Email me a sign-in link.
  3. Open the email and click the link.

The link only works for addresses that have been invited. If nothing arrives within a few minutes, ask whoever invited you to resend the invitation.

Forgot your password

  1. Click Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen.
  2. Enter your email and click Email me a reset link.
  3. Open the email, click the link and choose a new password.

If you ask for several reset emails in a row, you may need to wait a few minutes before another can be sent.

Accepting an invitation

When someone invites you, you get an email with a link. Clicking it:

  1. Confirms your email address and signs you in.
  2. Adds you to every workspace that invited that address.
  3. Asks for your name and a password. Your name is what colleagues see on the People page and in assignment emails. You can click Skip for now on the password and sign in later with a link or Google.

If you were invited because someone assigned you an SOP, you land on that SOP first.

Signing out

Click Sign out in the top bar.

Signing in from the phone app

If you installed SOPCompass on your phone’s home screen, emailed links open in your phone’s browser rather than the installed app. Finish there, then come back to the app and sign in with Google or your password. See Use SOPCompass on your phone.

Common questions

Can I create an account without an invitation?

No. You get an account by starting a trial or by being invited to a workspace. There is no separate sign-up form on the sign-in page.

Does SOPCompass support SAML or Okta single sign-on?

No. You can sign in with a password, an emailed link or Google.
