Archive and delete SOPs
Archiving is reversible and open to editors. Permanent deletion is for admins and owners, and only for archived SOPs.

Archive an SOP
Archiving takes an SOP out of boards and search but keeps everything, so you can bring it back any time. Editors, admins and owners can archive.
- Open the SOP.
- Click Edit.
- Click Archive.
On the Business plan, you can also archive straight from Insights, in the list of SOPs nobody has opened.
Find and restore archived SOPs
- On Boards, click Archived (top right).
- Find the SOP and click Restore.
An archived SOP’s direct link still opens, with Archived under its title.
Delete an SOP permanently
Only admins and owners can delete, and only SOPs that are already archived.
- On Boards, click Archived.
- Click Delete permanently next to the SOP.
- Type the SOP’s name to confirm.
This permanently deletes the SOP with its cards, steps, comments and version history.
Important: There is no undo for a permanent delete.
Delete a library or an old board
- Library: admins and owners click the ✕ next to the library’s name on its pillar, then type the library’s name. This deletes every SOP in it, archived ones included.
- Old board (from before the pillars): admins and owners click Delete on the board’s tile, then type its name. This deletes every library and SOP on it.
The Company area and the five pillars cannot be deleted.
Common questions
Can I recover a permanently deleted SOP?
No. Permanent deletion removes the SOP with its cards, steps, comments and version history, and there is no undo. Archive instead if you might need it again.
Do archived SOPs still answer questions in Ask?
No. Archived SOPs leave boards, search and Ask until they are restored.
