Ask and your question history
Ask answers only from SOPs you can open, cites them, and keeps a private history of your questions in each workspace.
Ask is for questions about how your business works. It answers only from your SOPs and shows where each part of the answer came from. For the basics, see Ask questions about your SOPs.
How an answer is made
- Ask searches the SOPs you can open in the current workspace, including libraries shared into it, for the ones most relevant to your question.
- It gives the best matches (up to eight) to the AI, which answers only from them.
- The answer cites the SOPs it used. Only the SOPs actually cited are shown as sources, each with a link.
If the SOPs do not cover the question, Ask says so and names the closest thing they do cover. It does not fall back on general knowledge about how companies usually work.
The search runs as you, so an answer can never draw on a workspace or library you cannot open. Archived SOPs are not used.
Asking from search
If a search finds nothing, the Search page offers Ask the assistant, which fills in your question on the Ask page so you can reword it before asking.
Question history
Every question you ask is saved under Recent questions, with its answer and sources.
- Reopen: click a question to see the answer as it was given, without asking again. From there, Ask again gets a fresh answer.
- Remove: click the ✕ next to a question.
- Clear all: removes every question you asked in this workspace. This cannot be undone.
- Show older: loads more.
Your history is private to you and kept per workspace (your newest 200). If you leave a workspace, your history there is deleted.
Note: If you lose access to an SOP that an old answer cited, that source shows as “An SOP you can no longer open”, with no title or link.
Questions Ask could not answer
On the Business plan, Insights lists the questions Ask could not answer, how often they were asked and by how many people. Editors can click Write this one or Mark written once an SOP covers it.
