Plans and billing
How plan changes, credits, cancellation, resuming and ended subscriptions work, and who can manage them.
On this page
Billing is handled by Whop. Card details are entered on Whop’s checkout and never reach SOPCompass. One subscription covers every workspace bought on it.
The plans
| Team | Business | |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $99 a month | $249 a month |
| Yearly | $990 a year | $2,490 a year |
| Workspaces | 1 | Up to 5 |
| Editors | Up to 10 | Up to 30 |
| Viewers | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| AI sort, Insights, library sharing, API | No | Yes |
Yearly billing is 2 months free. Editors means owners, admins and editors, counted across every workspace on the subscription.
Who manages billing
The owner of the workspace the plan was bought for manages it in People, Settings & billing, under Plan and billing. Others see the plan and status, and a note that only the owner can change it.
Change plan
You can switch between Team and Business, and between monthly and yearly, at any time.
- Click Change plan.
- Pick the plan you want. SOPCompass works out what you have already paid for.
- Read the summary. It will say one of these:
- During a trial: the switch happens today and your free trial carries over. The first charge is on the day the trial would have ended.
- Mid-term: the money you have paid and not used yet covers your first days on the new plan, so the first charge is on a later date. The summary shows the credit, the number of free days and the date.
- If what is left is worth less than a day of the new plan, it does not carry over and the new plan is charged now.
- Click Continue to checkout. Whop asks for your card to confirm the switch. If there are free days, nothing is charged until they run out.
- You come back to SOPCompass and it says Your plan is changed. If Whop is still confirming, the change finishes on its own within the hour, and your old plan stops billing then.
Note: Nothing is charged twice. Your old subscription is cancelled when the new one starts.
Moving from Business to Team
Nothing is removed. AI sort, Insights and library sharing turn off, API calls stop working, and you cannot add workspaces or editors beyond Team’s limits (1 workspace, 10 editors). If you are already over, SOPCompass says so before you switch. Libraries already shared can still be unshared.
Cancel
- Click Cancel subscription.
- Read the note and click Cancel subscription again to confirm.
Cancelling takes effect at the end of the trial or the current billing period. Everything keeps working until then, and you are not charged again. During a trial, cancelling means you are never charged.
Resume
Changed your mind before the end date? Click Keep my subscription. Billing continues as before.
When a subscription ends
After the end date:
- Every workspace on the subscription becomes read-only. Everyone can still sign in and read SOPs, but nobody can create or edit anything.
- Every SOP is kept.
- Everyone sees a notice at the top of the app saying the workspace is read-only. The owner can click Restart subscription in Settings & billing to start again.
If a payment fails
Owners and admins see a notice that the last payment did not go through, with an Update payment button that opens Whop, where the card is updated. Plan changes are paused until the payment method is updated.

Common questions
Who can change or cancel the plan?
The owner of the workspace the plan was bought for. Other people see a note saying only the owner can.
Do I lose my SOPs if I cancel?
No. When the subscription ends, the workspace becomes read-only and every SOP is kept. Restart the subscription to edit again.
Do I get a refund when I switch plans?
No money is refunded. Instead, the unused part of what you paid becomes free days on the new plan.
Where do I find receipts or update my card?
On Whop. In People, Settings & billing, use the link to payment methods and receipts on Whop.
